CLOTHING MOCKUP FAQ'S

HOW DO I RECEIVE MY DOWNLOAD FILES?

After purchasing, a download link will appear within a few seconds. Please also check your email, including your spam folder, as it may get sent there. You can also create an account on my website using the same email that you used at checkout and find all your previously purchased files in the "My Downloads" section of the site.

WHAT IS A "ZIP" FILE?

A zip file is a compressed file that contains multiple files within it. To unzip it, you can download and use software like WinRAR or 7-Zip. After unzipping, you will find the Adobe Illustrator file, PNG files of each individual mockup (or other files purchased), and a limited usage agreement. If you're using a PC, you will need 7-Zip or WinRAR. Sometimes your operating system will already have an unzipper. For Mac users, there should already be an unzipper, so you can simply right-click the zip file to unzip it or double-click it for automatic unzipping.

FILES ARE CORRUPT OR NOT WORKING?

If the files appear to be corrupt or not working after unzipping, sometimes the resulting files may have a period and underscore (._) before the file name. To resolve this, you can either delete the period and underscore from the file name, or delete the folder and re-download it to see if that resolves the issue.

WHAT SOFTWARE CAN I USE WITH MY VECTOR CLOTHING MOCKUPS?

The mock-up pack was designed for use with Adobe Illustrator. If you don't have Adobe Illustrator, you can use the provided uneditable PNG file in other design software such as Photoshop, Photopia, Affinity, or similar programs. You can find tutorials on how to use these other software to change the color of a PNG file on platforms like YouTube.

I CAN'T EDIT MY MOCKUPS IN ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR

If you're unable to edit the vectors in Adobe Illustrator, ensure that you are using the .AI file, which is the Adobe Illustrator file extension. If you are using the provided PNG file types, these are uneditable images becuase they are not vectors. You can identify the use of the PNG file if you see a big X across the garment in your software. Use the .AI file in Illustrator, and if you are using another software, you have to use the PNG file type.

UNGROUPING VECTOR MOCKUPS

Ungrouping vector templates in Adobe Illustrator is simple. Just click on a garment, right-click it, and select "Ungroup." Alternatively, you can double-click the garment to isolate it and edit it separately. To exit the isolation view, double-click anywhere else on the artboard. You can also hold down the command button on Mac or the alt button on PC, then click any shape or line on the garment.

HOW DO I REDOWNLOAD MY PURCHASED FILES?

You can access your previously purchased files by creating an account on my website using the same email you used at checkout. Once logged in, you can find all your previously purchased files in the "My Downloads" section.

HOW TO SUBMIT MY MOCKUPS TO A MANUFACTURER

To submit your mockups to a manufacturer, you need to provide a file containing your complete mock-up with all its details and instructions, if applicable. Additionally, provide separate files for each individual graphic and any related details or instructions. For example, if you have a hoodie with three graphics in different locations, you should send a file for the complete mock-up, separate files for each graphic, and any relevant details and instructions. Ensure that the files are of high quality; PNG or PDF formats are recommended. If your mock-up and graphics still appear pixelated, try increasing the resolution and/or the size of the graphics in your software before exporting them to send to the manufacturer.
